Lanyou Technology CTO Yu Bin Attends World Advanced Manufacturing Conference

Advanced manufacturing is a key indicator of the economic and comprehensive strength of a country, and has become a main battlefield for competition among countries. Accelerating the innovative development of advanced manufacturing is a main task for a country to develop the real economy and make itself strong inmanufacturing.

From October 31 to November 3, 2021, the World Advanced Manufacturing Conference (“WAMC”) themed on “New Drivers, New Ecology, New Pattern” was successfully held in Jinan, Shandong Province. The conference was co-hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Shandong Provincial People's Government, and organized by Jinan Municipal People's Government, Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province, and China Center for Information Industry Development. Officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Shandong Provincial People's Government, distinguished guests in politics and business from home and abroad, such as Henning Kagermann, Chair of the Acatech Board of Trustees and foreign academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Hermann Simon, father of Hidden Champion, and over one hundred experts, scholars and corporate representatives from Fortune Global 500and Top 500 Chinese manufacturer, attended the conference.

The development strategy, opportunity, route and innovative cooperation of advanced manufacturing were discussed on the WAMC in response to the national Dual Circulation Strategy(DCS). The aim wasto empower industries with technologies, boost growth with innovations, and build a better tomorrow through cooperation.

Yu Bin, CTO of LanyouTechnology, attended the WAMC. At the ICV and NEV industry development forum,he had an in-depth discussion with experts on industrial reforms and technological innovation related to smart travel and intelligent vehicles.

Mr. Yu said that as technology advances to a point where fully automated driving turns into a reality, it will become unnecessary to own a car. When we need to go somewhere, we can hail a cab on our phone, and it will arrive and drive us there automatically. After one trip is done, it departs to serve someone else. More innovations in technologies and business models are required to realize the dream. With these innovations, future travel will become even more intelligent. .

Yu argued that intelligent vehicles will lead the industrial reform and technological innovation in the car industry.

First of all, the auto sector will benefit from new technological stacks brought by intelligent cars. Technologies such as AI, big data, mobile communication, and IoT will radically transform our future way of traveling.

Second, new business models will emerge due to intelligent cars. Instead of focusing on only selling products, car makers will offer full-life-cycle value-added services based on their products.

Third, intelligent cars will catalyze the formation of a new industry landscape. As the value chain further extends, more and more intelligent parts makers, software service providers, and transportation service providers will have the opportunity to join the game. A brand-new industry layout will come into being.
