On September 4, Gaogong Intelligent Automobile Research Institute released a list of top 10 (domestic) suppliers in terms of market competitiveness in pre-installed T-Box on passenger vehicles in 2021, in which Lanyou Technology ranked first in mass production volume and second in over all strength.

Since the start of mass production in 2017, the Lanyou T-Box was the fastest of its kind to reach a mass production volume of 1 million in China, with a cumulative output of over 2.70 million to date.

This list is based on the pre-installation and mass production data base self-established by Gaogong Intelligent Automobile Research Institute, and makes an overall evaluation based on six Tier-1 indicators,i.e., business scale, capital, R&D capacity, operating capacity, industry influence and growth potential.

Gaogong Intelligent Automobile Research Institute predicts that the penetration rate of 5G T-Boxes will rise from the second half of 2020, and 4G T-Boxes will decline gradually in the next 2-3 years. In addition, there is a significant trend of integrated design of T-Boxes with gateways, infotainment units, etc.

In 5G development, Lanyou Technology began to establish R&D capacity for C-V2X application scenarios in 2018, and started 5G+C-V2X T-box R&D in 2019. Lanyou Technology has completed the development of the T-Box based on the 5G module. For C-V2X vehicle-road synergy, Lanyou Technology has also completed the development of the independent protocol stack that supports over 25 application scenarios, and is in the first tier of the industry in terms of R&D speed.

On the 5G pre-installation market, the Lanyou 5GC-V2X/T-Box was put into mass production this July, which supports the 5G only and 5G-V2X modes. In addition, Lanyou Technology will make further investments in automobile intelligence, and strengthen the development of intelligent cockpits, FAPA parking, L2/L3 domain controllers, and L4 auto pilot cloud control platforms.

As 5G brings a new round of growth opportunities for T-Boxes and also raises the technical and market thresholds considerably, the “tangled warfare”situation of the T-Box market may be replaced with a centralized competition landscape. Leading enterprises will probably further establish their competitive advantages.
