On April 17, Makoto Uchida, CEO of Nissan Motor, and Stephen Ma, CFO of Nissan Motor, led a delegation to visit Lanyou Technology to learn about the latest company operations and business dynamics.
At the company’s exhibition hall, Hu Yongli, General Managerof Lanyou Technology, expressed his sincere welcome to Makoto Uchida and hisdelegation. He then presented the development of the company’s two corebusinesses, digital services and intelligent products. He also demonstrated the core capabilities focusing on the whole value chain of the automotive industry,such as intelligent manufacturing, MarTech, smart ICV platform, smartcockpit, and intelligent driving, as well as the company’s relevant qualifications, patents, and technology workforce. In terms of strategic support for Dongfeng Nissan, Hu Yongli said, “As a sister company of Dongfeng Nissan, Lanyou Technology is a firm supporter of the digital and intelligent businesses of Dongfeng Nissan. We operate in an integrated mode with various departments of Dongfeng Nissan, which enables Lanyou Technology to develop localization capabilities and respond quickly to support the digital and intelligent projects of the whole value chain of Dongfeng Nissan.”
In the MarTech section, Lanyou Technology staffs introducedto the delegation the company’s digital marketing platform. The platform is centered around the entire life cycle of customer services, including contact marketing, user operation, data analysis, core transactions, business operations, etc. It covers various digital products on the vehicle marketing side, such as CDP, CRM, Smart Store, Super App, OTD, ADP, etc., facilitating customers to reduce costs and increase efficiency. This platform can also help achieve direct channel connections, reach customers, and build connectivity, thus empowering marketing rate growth. During the demonstration, Mr. Uchida asked about the detailed functions and applications of Smart Store and Dongfeng Nissan Super App.
In the smart parts section, the delegation was shown the end-to-cloud integrated solution as well as the company’s smart networking, smart cockpit, and intelligent driving products. The presenter said, “Under the‘One Team’ operation mechanism with Dongfeng Nissan, we have developed the ability to quickly put products into application and aligned our product planning and system capability simultaneously. Now we can not only apply our products quickly, but also ensure their high quality. In 2021, Lanyou Technology won Nissan Motor’s 2021 China Regional Quality Award (RQA), ranking first in electric fittings. So far, Lanyou Technology’s cumulative TCU shipments have exceeded 4.15 million units, ranking first in the country for three consecutive years in terms of the number of standard equipment equipped by domesticbrands.”
Afterward, delegation members learned about the cloudcapabilities of Lanyou smart ICV platform department. With over 20 years ofexperience in the whole value chain of the automotive industry, LanyouTechnology has developed robust technologies of cloud-end. Through flexible data collection, Lanyou Technology helps customers significantly reduce data transmission and storage costs and empowers other businesses in the value chain with IoV data. As such, Lanyou Technology has helped many car makers, including Dongfeng Nissan, to create an application closed loop of IoV data collection - value mining - business model results.
In the field of intelligent manufacturing, Lanyou Technology has built eight core application systems, forming “control,” “management,” and “view” capabilities. For example, a Smart Supply Chain Management Platform (SCMP) and aTotal Quality Management Platform (TQMP) have been established to ensure quality throughout the entire value chain, from design to market. This contributes to the whole-life-cycle quality profiles of vehicles, so as to provide the best quality products to customers. Mr. Uchida inquired about technologies such as the procurement logistics system and the use of AI visual recognition inidentifying non-conforming products. He expressed his appreciation for the innovative technology application.
After listening to the presentations, Mr. Uchida said that he had visited Lanyou Technology back in 2018 and was pleased to see the changesand progress that the company has made over these years. He stated that according to what he had learned during the tour, many of Lanyou Technology’s technologies are very advanced and are aligned with leading manufacturers at home and abroad. “The technological changes in automotive intelligence and digitalization are changing rapidly, and China is at the forefront of research in this area. Given the long history of cooperation between Lanyou Technology and Dongfeng Nissan in China, I think Lanyou Technology can collaborate with NML in a number of areas in the future. As a next step, I will ask NML’s technical developers to exchange ideas with you, and I hope that we can work more closely in the future,” said Mr. Uchida.
Also participating in the inspection tour were leaders from Dongfeng Nissan and Dongfeng South. General Manager Hu Yongli, Party GeneralSecretary and Executive Deputy General Manager Xia Pengtao, and Assistant tothe General Manager of Lanyou Technology received and accompanied the delegation throughout the tour.
